Stretching your relaxers is not a very easy process, especially when you're trying to stay away from heat. So I'm 22 weeks post, and dealing with some SERIOUS new growth. So I was at a point when I just couldn't do anything to my hair. Whenever I get to this point, I use my "emergency style". What I like about this hairstyle is it's quick and easy.
Step 1: I lightly sprayed my hair with water
Step 2: I combed my hair from ends to roots
Step 3: Applied "Cantu Shea Butter Leave in Conditioner and sealed with olive oil. Any Leave in Conditioner and oil will work as well.
Step 4: Parted my hair into four sections and made some bantu knots (two on each side). I didn't wrap my ends completely around the knot because i wanted to avoid any frizzy ends. So I just used my metal clips instead. Also, the metal clips tend to hold better than bobby pins but they still work.
Step 5: Use a satin scarf to protect your hair during the night.
Step 6: Unravel bantu knots. Separate, and add a head band. WAH-LAH!!!!
